ReFi Update
You wanted an update on this whole refinance thing? Well, I still don’t know much. My credit scores are looking good but the only way I can get the refi is if our house appraises for a certain amount. So, I just coughed up $350 for an appraisal which will take place in a few weeks. Fingers crossed!
If we can get this humble abode whipped into shape, our refi may get us out of the adjustable rate and into a nice, comfortable 6.8% fixed rate. Yeah, Baby!

If only the Appraiser came in the spring. My roses alone are valuable. I love them. No, really– they are my buddies. I truly, honestly talk to them. No! I’m not weird! They like it when I talk to them; it is my conversation that makes them beautiful and happy! Ok, ok. Maybe the Miracle Grow helps some. They, with the help of flower boxes and lots of pansies, make our yard look like a little secret garden. Just lovely!
Anyhow, let me tell ya, this household has been busy, busy getting this home ready for the appraiser. The cabinets and pantry are organized and clean (Mwah), the bathroom was remodeled in one. single. day (Mah Baby)! This is part of the perks of not only marrying a handsome fellow, but also a sweet hearted fellow, and lastly a very talented and creative fellow– Yes, there is a man this wonderful and perfect. Yeppers. And he and the remodeled bathroom are mine. All mine. Mwaah-haa-ha-ha!
I will post pictures of the bathroom very soon–when the finishing touches are added. You won’t believe how much the remodel cost. $30! Goes to show that you really can increase the value of your home with just a bit of TLC. Stay tuned…

He remodeled the entire bathroom in one day?!
Ummm… can I borrow him?
I want him too! You can have him back when I’m finished…in 2099!!
Good luck with the appraisal. Hopefully it will help you do the things you want to do. Let us know how it goes !
My man is the same way… wonderful, handsome, caring and he can build stuff.
Beautiful roses - I love ‘em too.
Good on you getting the bathroom remodelled for such a bargain!! Good luck with the appraisal!
I wish my man could build stuff *sniff*
Though if you ever need hundreds of tiny miniature metal guys put together… he’s your man.
Well, perhaps I should have said it was a bathroom “makeover” and not remodel. I guess remodel sounds like we were ripping out bathtubs and changing out sinks. This was more of a fresh paint, taking out old cabinets, laying new floors kind of remodel. It was still impressive for a 9 hour day, but probably not really a full on “bathroom remodel”. (I wish! I could definitely use a jacuzzi tub!)
