Speaking of family photos…

Look at what I found! This is Austin right after his 1st birthday! I was a little over 20. Crazy, huh!?

He was such a doll. That was just before I met Jeremy. Ohhhh, memories. Austin doesn’t remember there ever being a time where it was just him and me against the world. Seems like yesterday to me…

Adorable!

That’s a wicked curl you have…is it natural?

That is just like my sister and her oldest little boy….he barely remembers life before Eric. Recently his biological dad agreed to allow him to change his name so he could be the same as his little sister and the baby.

I love your hair. It is beautiful. So thick. You look like a baby yourself. But your son, he was beautiful too. Such a sweet smile.

VK- Yep, that’s natural. I work very hard every morning to straighten it. I’ve always disliked the curls and body. But now that Bella has curls too, I like them more for some reason. My hair was always so big, no matter how hard I tried to tame it. But it was the 90’s, so big hair wasn’t all bad. :-)

Deana- That’s great that his dad let him change his name– how totally unselfish and unprideful of him! We wanted to do that, just so Austin would have more of a connection with us (as we are his entire reality). He carries my maiden name, not his biological dad’s name. But his biological dad didn’t want him to have my new married name (understandable, sort of). That’s ok though. Austin goes by Jeremy’s name at school and stuff. They didn’t mind us not calling him by his “legal” name as they want him to be called what he wants, and they bothered to ask him what he wanted, unlike Austin’s bio. dad. It’s silly, but pride gets in the way when you have 2 split up parents who don’t always agree. We sometimes let our egos get in the way of what is best for the kiddo. Austin can choose for himself in a few years though, and that is what matters to me. I know he doesn’t want to go by my maiden name though– what connection does he have to that!? When he is 18, he can change his name to Jimminy Cricket if he wants.

Austin does have a wonderful smile, doesn’t he? He’s a beautiful person– inside and out. Doesn’t matter what you call him either, he’s always an awesome kid.

Awesome pic- the both of you are so cute!

My sister has the same thing going on as you. When she remarried, she hypenated her name so that my niece was still attached to her in some way.

Until I read this, I had no idea that you were a blended family. Its awesome that you guys are so happy and so close with another. :D

Hey picture lady, I have so many comments, so little time.

I love all your family pics. Even in the older ones, you can see the happiness and the love.

Bad-ass hair!! Of course mine is bone straight and I get perms to get what you have… funny funny!
