Day in Pictures

We had a pretty good Saturday. We had plans to drive to a neighboring town to go wood stove shopping but got about 4 inches of snow last night. We decided to use that as an excuse to be lazy today. We started the day with a yummy breakfast of eggs, grits, bacon, and biscuits with honey. (No, the diet isn’t working out, but really? Who cares! Food is delicious!) Noah is learning to love baby food, but prefers bananas. In fact, he hates most anything else.

We doodled around the house for the rest of the morning and then decided to go to the Recreation Center. We loaded up into the car and waited for Jeremy to come out. Just as he closed the front door, the entire roof of snow fell on his head. He was a pretty good sport about it, I really get grumpy when that happens.

The kids all love the Rec Center.  I don’t really like how cold the pool water is (it’s really not cold at all, I’m just a Woos.), so I tend to be a hot tub hog. Austin monkeyed around, Bella played with her Papa, Noah did what he does best (looking cute), and Jeremy was busy being the hottest dad on the planet.

There was also the heavy, squishy diaper problem. The Rec Center was out of swimmer diapers, so we let Noah sit in the water for a few minutes with just his diaper on. This was the result of that silly idea. Noah doesn’t seem to mind that his parents are goof balls.

The rest of the day was lazy and enjoyable– lunch, nap, dinner, lounging, playing, and we watched Little Miss Sunshine.

I love lazy Saturdays.

  2. That squishy diaper photo’s fab. What a happy little face Noah has!

What are grits? I have read books where characters eat them but never have seen them. Must do important googling on this today instead of working.

  3. TOB– I think it’s just ground corn. Perhaps I too should Google. All I know is it is delish and I’ve grown up loving it with butter and cheese. Yummm!

  9. Thanks everyone!

Nicole, LMS was a feel good movie– made me smile. But it had really bad language and was a bit hokey. I think it was a tad over-rated, but it’s worth seeing. The little girl in it, “Olive”, is adorable.
