It’s Tuesday.
Today was a beautiful day. The sun was bright and warm and Bella, Noah, and I spent the day basking in her glorious warmth. We had a wonderful picnic at the park complete with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, bananas, applesauce, and grape juice. Delicious. Babies with peanut butter cheeks are delicious too. Chomp.
We played at the park after we ate. I heard Bella laugh like I’ve never heard. I’m going to have to capture that on video next time we go. She’s beautiful. The babes took a nice, long 2 hour nap leaving mom all the time she needed to catch up on laundry and to cruise blogs. Could I have molded a more wonderful day with my own two hands? Maybe just one minor change: The only thing we missed was the company of Jeremy and Austin. But they joined us for another trip to the park just before dinner. I think the spring weather is doing good things for the soul. It was a whopping 69 degrees today! I’m in the mood to put my hands in some dirt and plant flowers. But, alas, I must be patient. There will be a few more snows before June.
During the babe’s nap, I had a chance to take pictures for the Self Portrait Challenge. I’m feeling self conscious now that SyngSyng pointed out that I only do it so that people will tell me I’m pretty. I don’t take compliments well at all, never have. So for someone to say that I am doing the self portrait challenge for vanity purposes makes me feel weird. I’ll get over that, because I enjoy doing this. I think it’s fun to see people like Yvonne struttin’ her bad self in her self portraits. She’s beautiful and I’m her bloggy fan. Oh yes, I have a bloggy crush on her. But I also have a crush on you. Does that make me a Tramp? Just don’t tell Jeremy, k?
So here’s this weeks photo using Flickr’s mosaic tool. You should try some of the tools, they are fun!

I wish my arms were skinny like yours!
Isn’t it so nice when the weather warms up?? I took Taj and Livie for a walk yesterday and it was so nice!!
i love this and i love how you choose so many different body parts and you are beautiful and you should hear it!! we should all be told we are beautiful because there is so much bad imaging out there, so many messages telling us we are not good enough, pretty enough, thin enough and so on and so on so celebrating ourselves, our confidence and our beauty is a good thing.
hugs!
Don’t worry about what syngsyng said, it’s not true by any means. You can’t help being pretty - and why would you want to hide your light under a bushel? Why do pretty people have to change what they look like just to make others feel better about themselves??
Ok, rant over!
That was a beautiful day you made with the kiddies. You sound so calm and relaxed.
I thought we already established that SyngSyng sux. I LIKE the mosaic pictures
So pretty! I love the bottom right picture. You look so sweet and innocent somehow
Tori, your arms look skinny to me! I’ve thought my arms were really big too but when I saw this picture of me “flexing” I thought, “Dang, I wouldn’t scare a moth with those twiggy little arms!” I think it’s just the picture lying though cause my arms can do some mad jiggling. They sure didn’t do that 10 years ago!
MF, I agree with you. I think it is just fine for women to celebrate their femininity through photos.
That Syng lady won’t leave you alone, will she? What a jerk to make you feel weird about self photos. I love this mosaic… so cool!
I took Liam to the park yesterday AND today. He is so anxious to just be outdoors.
Don’t pay any attention to SyngSyng. I put things up of myself at times and certainly don’t do it for comments/compliments/etc. It is YOUR Blog after all! Shouldn’t we feel like we know the person behind it! All my regular blog buddies are real people I can relate too…not ficticious characters like some blogs have.
Besides when you look as good as you do you should show it off!
I need a self portrait to change my profile pic and a new spring banner.
Coolness! Love the tat around the arm. Did that hurt? I’ve flirted with the idea of one, but too chicken. Just got my nose pierced and love it!
As for other’s comments, it reminds me of that commercial “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.”
Be yourself and stay fabulous!
Those are some great pictures, a real mix of natural, pretty, funny…well done!! Sounds like you had a lovely day aswell!
