Wowwy Wowza

I had to use that silly title because it’s my new favorite saying. I think I got it from Borat; loved that movie so much that I want it for Christmas!

Anyways! Guess what!? I got another good mail package, from Lisa, and it is sooooo super cool that I’m still in awe! I pulled this beautiful sun catching ornament out of the package in the kitchen and instantly the light from the sun hit it in just a way that there were beautiful rays bouncing onto the walls, ceiling and me. My face lit up like Christmas! I’ve hung it in the window in my living room where the light can dance around, reflecting off of the mirrors and beads. Thank you so much, Lisa! What’s even better is that I’ve made a new blog buddy, and she must already know what a Magpie I am for beautiful, shiney pretties.

The picture really doesn’t do it the justice it should. It is soooo pretty!

I rock and roll all day long, Sweet Suzie

My title is actually a line from a movie. But I can’t remember which one. Someone help me?

Anyhooo– I’m so rockin’! Yes I am. Nell said so, and since she totally rocks, I know she knows. Thank you Nell! I get a cute little badge with Cat Woman on it… Meooow.

I going to name a couple of rockin’ bloggers myself now, giving some props where it’s due.

1. Deana– She’s such a Sassy Lassy, she sooo totally rocks! I wish I could visit with her and maybe even make her adopt my kiddos as an Aunt because she is the ultimate Aunty. I also really like her new pond. I wish I could go on over for some margs and a swim! Deana makes me laugh and I love watching for her new blog makeovers, pictures, and daily quotes. She’s got a super awesome blog style!

2. Jenica– I so LOVE Jenica’s blog. She makes me smile, even when maybe she didn’t mean to. How is that, you ask? She’s a pregnant mother (33 weeks along) and her sassiness & cuteness is at it’s peak! She’s a beautiful woman– inside and out (man, this woman is wearing pregnancy like Heidi Klum– Gorgeous). You have to go say “hi” and read some of her cute posts about motherhood and pregnancy! She’ll make you smile too, even if she doesn’t mean to!

3. Robyn– She’s pretty new to the blogging scene and I just love reading her posts. They are so full of love and cuteness. Her Noah is super full of personality and cuteness too! She posts fun pictures and videos of her family, I just love visiting! She is so fun-loving and hip! And man, her kids are sooo adorable. She’s in a household full of boys and loving every minute of it. Go check out her blog and melt over her little cuties!

I could go on and on, but you know I have to stop somewhere. You all totally rock, my fellow Bloggers and Readers!

A present for me!

I was soooo happy to check my mail Sunday and find a Good Mail Girls package from Tori! I joined Good Mail Girls On Annie’s blog last week. I’ve mailed one package so far to PJ. Have to get some more goodies in the mail soon to some of the other Gals. It’s fun to check my mail now and see something other than bills and flyers! Thank you Tori!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Speaking of flyers, I have organized a big yard sale for my subdivision. There are 70 homes in my neighborhood and I was ambitious enough to put flyers on each and every door! I was greeted by bees and mean dogs and perverted old retired guys.
It was 95 degrees on the day I passed the flyers out and I had both babies with me in a stroller. I schmoozed with neighbors while handing out sippy cups and animal cookies to my irritable, hot toddlers. I’m a real go-getter! Or a glutton for punishment. Pick one.
I’m such a dork. What kind of nerd gets excited about having a yard sale? And I’m all writing about it on my blog like I’m cool or something. Geesh.
Happy Birthday Noah!
Today my baby turned 1.
The year has flown by. It’s been one of the best years of my life. We completed our family, one year ago today, with the most awesome and sweet grand finale. There were fireworks for him the day we brought him home from NICU. Not only because it was the 4th of July, but because he is That Awesome.
I was about to give birth one year ago. It’s 8:45 pm. Noah was born a few minutes after 9 pm. I had planned to share my birth story on my blog right after he was born. But the 10 days after Noah’s birth were so intensely traumatic, and his care once we got him home was so intensely consuming, I never got around to it. His rough start made him one tough cookie though. He came into this world having such a challenge to overcome, having to fight from the get-go.
But look at him now! He is beautiful, and healthy, and soooo very funny and full of character! He’s spunky, rough and tumbly! He is my Nooskers. I love every ounce of him– from the fuzzy hairs on his head down to the cute, long toes that look like mine. He is precious to me. After I had Bella, who looked just like Jeremy, I wondered if I would ever have a baby who looked like me. Austin looks just like his daddy too. Bella has my brown curls, Austin has my freckles. But other than that, my genes seemed not to pass along any resemblance of me to my children. But then there was Noah. Bluish eyes. Fair complexion. He looks like Jeremy, no doubt, but I can see me too! That makes me smile…
We celebrated his birthday yesterday with good friends. It was wonderful! He had his own little cake, which he had more fun squishing in his hands than he did tasting it. I think I changed his clothes 4 times in just one day! When we all sang him Happy Birthday, he just sat there looking totally freaked out that everyone was watching him and singing to him.
“Ok, ok. You don’t have to sing. Just give me some cake, please.”
He played with his new best friend, Ben. You would never think two one-year-olds would be this playful and interactive with eachother. But they totally dig one another!
“Ok. I’m going to wipe snot and boogies on my sister while you pull your sister’s hair.”
I have two new girlfriends, Amy and Kim, who brought their kiddos to the party. I’m so excited to not only have friends, finally, but to also have friends with children who are my kid’s ages.
Today we celebrated his birthday with just us. Noah and Bella played all day– sidewalk drawing (Noah actually colors too!), splashing in the pool, enjoying the sunshine.
And no Birthday is complete without some Bruce Lee action. You know your baby is quickly becoming a Big Boy when he watches some martial arts with his Pop. And I wouldn’t be a good mommy if I didn’t fuss at them for sitting so close to the TV.
Happy Birthday, Noah. You are so loved. Thank you for blessing our lives with your sweetness, your humor, your awesome and lovable ways!
