Say something, Steph

I have been kicking myself for not posting lately. It’s not that nothing is going on, I do have things to write about. Like, for instance, I bet all y’all want to know all about how we’re (ummm, Jeremy) are painting our house. Right? That’s some interesting stuff. Or, you probably would like to her about how Austin is leaving Friday for AN ENTIRE THREE WEEKS to visit his dad. I could whine to you about that. Or, maybe I could make y’all laugh by sharing how I showed my arse to all the neighbors (and my poor children) by running, screaming from bees while trying to paint the facia on our house. No, actually that wasn’t very funny. But. I hate bees and everyone else thinks that’s funny for some reason. :-)

I have tried to think of something fun to write but am so enjoying my time right now that I’m neglecting my blog. Don’t leave though, K? I’m going to get back to it (my blog) when life settles back into a normal schedule. Jeremy is off of work for a few weeks to work on OUR house, play, enjoy our days together.

Want some juice though?

*Well, Noah and Bella have decided to start sleeping in until 7:30 for the past week! Yippeee!

*I’m working on a blog makeover. Oh, yes. The naked warrior chick is getting canned!

*I’m not getting a tummy tuck. Nope. After so much thought, I decided not to do it. I’ve really come a long way with my fitness (I run 5K in 30 minutes & workout every other day— something I couldn’t/didn’t even do when I was a teenager). And I’m working hard on the self love. Bella pinched her belly today and told me that she was fat. My heart sunk. What have I been teaching her when I thought she was too little to understand? I’m working on this. Not just for her, but for me too. If I am more loving and excepting of myself, she will learn this from me. I’m thinking about just having my hernia repaired, perhaps that will help me to get more tone in my belly.

*We’ve been practicing Earth Hour in our house weekly. It has been such a bonding time. I put the kiddos to bed, we cook a yummy late dinner, turn the power off and then we do something nice together. “Adult time”, we like to call it. We play cards by the candles, talk, sometimes take a couple of shots of Crown. Getting tipsy and silly is fun. I’ve been pregnant or nursing for so many years that I forgot how fun it is. This Earth Hour thing has turned out to be a fun way to nurture our relationship together, as husband and wife.

*I know I already mentioned this, but… Austin is leaving for 3 weeks! I’m sooooo totally going to cry when he gets on the plane. I’m going to bawl like a baby. What am I going to do when he leaves the nest?! The strangest thing popped into my head the other day: If Austin does things like I did (which he won’t, he has a much stronger head on his shoulders), I’m going to be a grandma in 5.5 years! OMGoodness, such a strange thought.

Ok, so that’s all I have. For now! Maybe I can post some pics of my freshly painted house soon. Yippee. Thanks for being patient with me on the blog posting ;-) . I’ll be back soon…

I’m so with you! When I have a bunch of stuff going on (which would be great to write about)… I don’t have time to write about it!

But, YAY for the update!

(and… a BIG YAY for babies sleeping past 7:30am.)

I wonder if I could get my hubby away from the computer for an earth hour each week. Love the idea!

Love the Earth hour idea that you have with your hubby!

I’m sorry that you have to ship your boy off for 3 weeks. That would be hard:(

Good for you sticking with your fitness plan! I’ve been working out like crazy lately, too. However lacking in body image I am right now, I NEVER say anything about it to my daughter. She works out with me “to become healthy and strong.” The media and the world will saturate soonly enough (sadly…)

When I’m stuck on what to write for a post for my blog…. and I have nothing…. I find something totally self depreciating and roll with it-
like posting pictures of my almost 9 months pregnant belly sans cover up with all the fat rolls and stretch marks laid out for the world to see…. inviting- nay daring them to click the pic for a larger version.
The baby belly that ate Pittsburgh!!! Aaaaaiiiieeee!!

That or talk about embarassing guilty pleasures.

Great idea, Stephieface! When in doubt, write something that helps me laugh at myself!

Darlene, I’m so happy for you losing so much weight! Doesn’t it feel good when you can see and measure the progress!? Keep it up, especialy if it makes you feel good.

Sorry about Austin leaving… makes me sad too to think of letting Liam go for that long.

Yay for no tummy tucks. I am glad you took the time to really know for sure that it wasn’t for you. You are so gorgeous, Steph, so I hope you don’t worry about it so much.

I think that Earth hour stuff is awesome! I wish my hubby was romantic like that and was willing to play games and goof off with me with the power off.

i love reading about your life…it’s never boring!

and i for one am very happy for you and your decision to not get a tummy tuck. i have a close friend that has a very voluptious figure, which she has always hated. but as soon as she started having girls she stopped complaining about it. as she told me, “all evelyn has to be told is she looks just like her mother, and all of those self-depreciating moments will come back to her.”

have fun with your family. i’ll keep checking back!

I really hope Austin enjoys his trip. I know you are going to miss him with all your heart. I love the earth hour time. What a great idea!

Oh, I hear you. Sometimes life just overtakes blogging, and it’s hard to know what to write about.

I’m sorry about Austin heading off. I do hope you’re not going to be a grandma anytime soon though!! Keep up with Earth Hour and you just might have another littlie to play with!!
