A present for me!
I was soooo happy to check my mail Sunday and find a Good Mail Girls package from Tori! I joined Good Mail Girls On Annie’s blog last week. I’ve mailed one package so far to PJ. Have to get some more goodies in the mail soon to some of the other Gals. It’s fun to check my mail now and see something other than bills and flyers! Thank you Tori!

Speaking of flyers, I have organized a big yard sale for my subdivision. There are 70 homes in my neighborhood and I was ambitious enough to put flyers on each and every door! I was greeted by bees and mean dogs and perverted old retired guys.
It was 95 degrees on the day I passed the flyers out and I had both babies with me in a stroller. I schmoozed with neighbors while handing out sippy cups and animal cookies to my irritable, hot toddlers. I’m a real go-getter! Or a glutton for punishment. Pick one.
I’m such a dork. What kind of nerd gets excited about having a yard sale? And I’m all writing about it on my blog like I’m cool or something. Geesh.

I need to have a garage sale soooo bad. I bet you have a good turn out. Try posting it on craigslist.org too. (If they have it in your area.) It’s free.

i’ve never done a yard sale myself. but my mom’s most successful one was when she sold cold soda for 75 cents a piece.

Is that yard sale this weekend? Hope it goes really well. I haven’t had one in a long time but I did rent a roll off dumpster a couple weekends ago to clean out the garage and basement of things we should have tossed out in the last move. I LOVE to get rid of my junk. I’m a Clean Sweep fan.

I am a yard sale geek too, I don’t know why but I love having them and wheelin’ and dealin’ with the crazy folks that show up. I love all the change in my pockets and cleaning out some space!

Thanks everyone! I’m sure I’ll be posting about it again soon since the sale isn’t until the weekend of the 14th. I’ve been going through old baby stuff and it is soooo bittersweet washing and preparing those little items to sell to someone else.

Hello~ I just joined Good Mail and saw your blog! LOVE IT! I am into garage sales- and no it isn’t weird that you are excited about yours. I usually try to have one once a year. Have you heard of Flylady.com? She is awesome at encouraging women to declutter. I go to garage sales with a list of things I need and try to stick to it. Sometimes I come home with something not on the list…because it was such a good deal. Maybe that is why I need to do my own sale once a year?!
