As much as I miss the South, there are so many wonderful and charming things here in Colorado. I love the way I feel when I look out the window and see the snow accumulating on the ground. I love watching the irrigation sprinklers going in the summer in massive valleys. It makes me want to go running through the field under them. I love the sound of cows mooing right before bed, as if they are greeting the twilight. I love the way roasted chilis smell in the wind. I love the way I can, on the hottest day in summer, sit under a tree and find comfort and cool from the hot sun. In the South, the heat follows you everywhere you go but in CO, no one even needs AC because it feels so good in the shade.

Colorado is wonderful too. I know that my heart may always be fond of the South, but CO is my home.
