I’m bummed.

#1: I am having a bunch of posts rejected, one after another for one of the paid posting shindigs I’m doing. Lot’s of money that I was excited about is going down the drain. Not to mention the wasted energy and time…

#2: This morning was eventful. Noah snuck out of the kitchen while I was making him some grits for breakfast. He was gone for all of 2.5 seconds. In that time, he managed to drop my new cell phone in the toilet. I probably shouldn’t mention that Bella had just gone to the bathroom in it and didn’t flush. Lucky me. Yes, it was Number 2. So now I have to go get another phone. Fifty bucks. Down the drain. Literally.

#3: I went to put on my only sweater this morning and noticed the HUMONGOUS hole in it. Thought maybe writing some reviews might help me buy a few winter sweaters, but obviously I was mistaken. See #1.

#4: I’m out of Calgon.

Ugh. I’m sorry, that really sucks, about the posts, about your cell phone, all of it.

I hate days like that! I just had to pick up my kid at school because he puked all over the playground.

Wow, that’s really crappy about your cell phone. (sorry, I had to) Sounds like you don’t need Calgon, you need something to close your drains!

Hang in there girlie, things always work out. Relax about the posts, putting too much pressure on yourself is going to make the writing even harder.

Big hugs!!

I dropped my mobile phone in the loo after I had gone once. I instinctively dived in after it. Well, my hand not my whole body. I rinsed it under the tap and dried it out and it worked fine. I swapped it with someone else’s at work though and never told them why. heh.

What are the reasons for rejecting your posts?? That’s weird because you’re an awesome writer. I was so tempted to steal your ad the other day… ;)
I’m sorry you’re bummed. (((HUGS))) to you!!!

Yeah, they rejected some of my better reviews. So, it’s not because of my writing or grammar or anything– you’ll see PPP posts all over the internet written by people who can hardly speak English.

They reject them sometimes if they aren’t on the main page– some of mine are on the sidebar. Then others they will accept even though they are in the sidebar. Total double standard. Makes no sense.

Also, if you accidentally put two paid posts next to one another, they reject those and don’t let you fix it to get paid. There has to be a regular post in between paid posts.

They rejected a few more because, though they were initially on the main page, after I made a few more posts, they ended up moving 2-3 pages in by the time PPP came to check the posts. And there needs to at least be a link to the article on the main page if the post has moved to older pages. It’s complete bullshit because they don’t tell you all of their guidelines until you have the dang review up for WEEKS and the company you reviewed has already benefited from your links. So you give a service that you don’t even get paid for. I am IRRATE! Anyways– if you write reviews for PPP, make sure you follow those rules. Very discouraging.

Sorry about your stuff getting rejected, I was thinking the same thing others have said, you write way better than I do! LOL

I just did my first one for PPP, maybe I won’t be using them so much. It hasn’t been approved yet…

[…] And speaking of the brilliant and bright daughter of mine: I went to Alltel today to replace “the phone“. I was trying to avoid telling the salesman that I needed to file a claim because the phone plopped in a poopy toilet. When she asked me what happened to the phone, I was going to say, “Oh, I dropped it in the sink while I was washing dishes.” But instead, my sassy girl chimed in, “Mommy’s phone got dropped in the crap.” […]
