My sweet girl
Bella is brilliant. She is probably one of the brightest, smartest, most intuitive, and sassy 2-year-olds I’ve ever met. I don’t think it is because I’m partial, I think she really is an old soul. She’s way ahead of her time. And I feel like I’ve known her far longer than I have.
We visited her old school the other day. I was really just trying to pass some time while I waited for the Children’s Museum to open, so we stopped by to see her old friends and teachers. She and her buddies picked right up where they left off and it was so much fun to watch. They grew up in the infant room together and then moved on to the toddler room together. Bella and her 2 best friends acted like 10 months hadn’t even passed. When we left, Bella wouldn’t stop talking about her friends and her old school. She kept asking if she could go back. It made me feel terrible because I realized that maybe she isn’t getting the interaction she needs here at home with Momma Bear and the pesky little brother. So I called the school to see if they had an opening for her for just one day a week. Low and behold, they did! Bella starts going back to her old school this week for just one day a week. I think it’s wonderful because she gets to get some extra interaction and I think she needs that. Plus, Noah gets me all to himself one day a week! I know he needs one-on-one too, and he’s never really gotten that. I’m so stoked!
She goes for her first day at Pre-School tomorrow!
And speaking of the brilliant and bright daughter of mine: I went to Alltel today to replace “the phone“. I was trying to avoid telling the saleswoman that I needed to file a claim because the phone plopped in a poopy toilet. When she asked me what happened to the phone, I was going to say, “Oh, I dropped it in the sink while I was washing dishes.” But instead, my sassy girl chimed in, “Mommy’s phone got dropped in the crap.”
Ohhh. If I could have taken a picture of the saleswoman’s face. It would have been worth money…
