Date Night
Last night Jeremy and I went on a REAL date. We left the house for 6 whole hours while the babysitter took care of poopy diapers, temper tantrums, and food slinging. It was an amazing 6 hours!
On the way to the nearby town for dinner, we were about run off the road by a Crazy Man. I couldn’t believe how this guy was swerving and swaying while going 65 miles an hour. We finally just passed him, but I grit my teeth while doing it. I took a quick shot of the moment. Here is where my adrenaline was pumping (I also called the Highway Patrol to report this obviously drunk driver):

I took this picture of us as Jeremy was cussing the guy out. I’m sad that Jeremy was cut out of the pic because you should have seen the intensity in his gestures and expressions.

We went to Outback Steakhouse. Yummmm! We ordered drinks, and momma got a bit tipsy on one of those Blueberry Martinis. I had to take a picture of it. Look at the menu. Look at my drink. Notice something missing? The blueberries! Hellllooo. Do you drink your Martini minus the olives? No. So why was my Martini missing the blueberries? Shameful. False advertisement gets my goat.

But I did get a kiss with that Martini. Even better.

Ohhh, I had the Alaskan King Crab dinner. I ate every.last.bite. Of course I shared. A little bit!

And on the way home, we listened to the music deafeningly loud. I have a new favorite song, I think. This one was so good I had to take a picture of the screen so I wouldn’t forget to download it when I got home. Blueberry Martinis make me forgetful.

And then we went to the casino with $12 each. We both lost every last penny. But it was a blast! We came home to babies who were snoozing soundly and a haggard babysitter who was ready for her money and a ride home.
We vowed to have a date night once a month. It was so awesome! We laughed, and canoodled, and took our time enjoying every bite. Momma’s, take your husbands on a date. It’s good for the soul!
