Noah’s Blankie

Guess what? I finally made Noah’s quilt. It turned out sooooo nice! The minky fabric is soooooo wonderful. I think Noah is in love!

Monday Night: Cut 6″ squares with rotary cutter. I hate the way the minky gets all stretchy.

Tuesday Night: Double stitch sew 63 squares together (7 across, 9 down). I hate the way the minky makes my 6″ squares into 6.5″ squares.

Wednesday Night: Take 2 shots of Crown. Gag. Double stitch sew backing, batting, and front of quilt together. Thirty minutes of adding little ties to blanket with mult-colored yarn. DONE!

I’m one of those people that goes at things full forced and hard core but then I fizzle out fast (like my other blog that I sort of forgot about). I’m hoping that isn’t the case with quilting again. I can’t think of anything else that’s both productive and fun to do with my free time.

Are you one of those people who gets really into things and then fizzles out, or are you the type who sticks to a hobby or interest for a lifetime?

I am impressed! You said it is easy, I don’t beleive you! I don’t think I could do it, I am lame with my 2 hands.

Totally ! I have 1 new passion a day , I can’t even conceive of having a lifetime passion or interest ( besides my family)

Cute!

I do that with my hobbies, I’m sure part of that is we have limited space, so if I’m going to drag all my sewing stuff out, I sew like crazy for a few days/weeks, then put it all away again for another few months. LOL

I am a bad Mommy, all my nieces have quilts I’ve made them, but I haven’t made one for either of my kids yet.

I have a half a row of knitting done that I started about 6 months ago. Does that give you a hint what I am like?

It’s been fun watching you whip out these quilts left and right! You do have talent!

Yes, I’m one of those who gives it my all then switches hobbies. I would get too bored doing the same thing all the time:)

I love love love this one!

I also tend to lose interest in projects, but I do try to finish what I start. It’s easier said than done most of the time.

Both. I have so many interests, my hard drive is always in danger of crashing. “Keep things simple” needs to be my modis operandi.

Keep us informed about Etsy. I’d love to see more quilts!
