Need Logo Advice…

I wanted to start hanging fliers and doing some local advertising so that Jeremy and I can start doing children’s rooms and murals. I think we need a “logo” and I have some ideas but I don’t know how to do that sort of thing. We aren’t rich folk, so I don’t want to spend tons of money on it. I’d basically just use it for fliers and maybe business cards. Does anyone know anyone who could do something like this for a reasonable price? I have something simple in mind, so I think it would be an easy job for someone who is good at this kind of thing (graphics and design)…

Bella’s Princess Castle Bed

Jeremy started working on Bella’s Princess bed yesterday. There’s so much to do still that it’s overwhelming. She can’t sleep in her room because the paint fumes are pretty stinky. So, she’s going to have to sleep with us for a few weeks while we finish it. That works out good though because we’ll be using our evenings to do the painting on it and that would be hard to do with her sleeping in her room.

Here’s the beginnings of a grand Princess bed. The underneath is going to be a play area. I’m going to make curtains for the windows and light the inside of the play area with flower led string lights. It’s pretty dark in there and the doors aren’t even up yet. The top half is where her bed will go. There will be towers on both ends. The final masterpiece will look much like the castle beds at customplayhouses.com.

NameBrands4Home (aka- Name Brands for Your Home) Lies Continues…

Check this out! The seller decided to report me to eBay for breaking some rules with my blog post on our ordeal. I noticed she was visiting my site obsessively, searching “NameBrands4Home” (or recently called Name Brands for your Home) 3 or 4 times a day. I guess that whole “freedom of speech” thing must bother her and she doesn’t like her business name showing up in Google searches to my site.

Well, my friend. I did take your name off my post. That was inappropriate and I apologize. But apparently I can leave your eBay store/business name and won’t be breaking any eBay guidelines. So Google THAT, Sweetie.

Better yet… We could quit this nonsense and you can cut me a PayPal check for $43. How’s that for a solution? See how resonable I am?

I have this quote from you that is continuously ringing in my ears…

However, due to the fact that there was a mistake made possibly resulting in the loss, I am going to reimburse you the whole amount although I will only get $100 from the claim.”

Do what’s right. And I will too.

Snowy weekend

The snow has been falling like mad crazy around here the last few weeks. It’s INSANE! We’ve been here for nearly 8 years and I’ve never seen this much snow.

Did the fargin’ groundhog see his shadow? He better not have! I could think of some great recipes to make out of groundhog. Groundhog stew. Groundhog burgers. Groundhog chimichangas. Or maybe some Groundhog Dogs. Those are great snacks to bring to the Super Bowl game if that Groundhog sees his shadow.

You were wondering who we were hoping would win that Super Bowl?

Here’s my latest cuddle quilt. It’s for my nephew, but we’re all Patriots fans.

And with all this snow, Jeremy has been busy painting while I quilt. Here’s his latest creation– “The Farm”. The paintings are going on the auction block on eBay this week. I’ll let y’all know when in case anyone wants to bid.

This one is BY FAR my favorite so far!

Some close ups:

So cute! My Man is THE awesomest!
