Just a “little” project
We were “commissioned” to do a mural for the Children’s Museum in our town a few months ago, and have 2 weeks total to complete the project. The museum closes for two weeks (starting past Monday), so in that time we are having to pump out the artwork. I’m so excited. But so overwhelmed too. One week and 3 days left!? And that would be a cinch if Jeremy didn’t work and we had a babysitter.
Jeremy and I are so good together, and the more time we spend creating together, the more I realize why our paths crossed so many years ago. We are one another’s muse. Of course, the margaritas help inspire too…
Here are my little “jungle birds”. We draw our critters on plywood, Jeremy cuts them with his saw, routes them so they have nice rounded edges, and then we paint.

My gorgeous artist, after a full day of work, he comes home and works some more (did I mention this is volunteer and not paid?)

We do so enjoy doing this kind of stuff, so it seems less like work. Here are some snakeys I made to hang in the trees.

I’ll post some more pictures in a few days. Hopefully we’ll have made more progress over the weekend.
Have a great weekend too!
