Alltel Roadside Assistance SUCKS

Yes, you, Alltel Roadside Assistance. You suck.

I spent 30 minutes on hold in a broken car on a hot day with a full bladder and a pregnant belly. Too pregnant to walk the 2 miles to the closest toilet. You finally, after 30 minutes, get my information and dispatch a towing service and THEN inform me that I have to PAY $80 for a 12 miles tow! WTF!? Have you lost your mind!? And I have to wait another hour for the tow truck to arrive? Why bother calling it “assistance”? That’s.not.assistance.

You say, “We have no control over how much the independent towing companies charge, we only pay so much and you have to pay the difference.” What do you pay, Alltel? FIFTY CENTS!? You charge me every month for roadside assistance and all I got what a roadside bladder infection and a roadside migraine from your on-hold music.

Go suck on an egg. See if I send you $4 next month! Bad business. Vague coverage information. Misleading promise of peace of mind. Alltel Roadside Assistance is a scam!

  1. I use Chevron roadside and it’s actually always been great for us. We had a broken down car, ran out of gas, flat tire, wreck… and they’ve been there within 30 min everytime- even out in the middle of New Mexico.
    ($4.50 a month)

  3. Thank you so much for your rant! I was looking at their very vague information on towing and it never said how many miles were covered…hence when I did a finer Google search, I found your post. I will NOT enroll in their scam. Thank you so much for saving me from a repeat of your agony.
