Summertime… Ahhh. I love every last bit of it. I was never much for beer, per se. But since it’s the only thing I can drink that reminds me of an alcoholic beverage and yet isn’t, I’ll settle for this stuff… It’s the taste of summer. But I’ll be having a marg to go with my summer in about, oh, 60 days!

My tomatoes are growing, upside down and right side up.

Our chicken girls are doing great and keeping our yard bug free– growing like weeds too. There’s Gerty, Frida, Mermaid, and Blue (who is hiding in this pic).

The kids, the critters, and the mommas thrive in the summer…
Noah’s birthday was rockin’ awesome! We had a kiddie pool and slide, sand box, sprinklers, and lots of friends to play with! We ate well (Jeremy is the grillmeister) and had perfect weather. We bought Noah a trampoline for his birthday. The kids LOVED the trampoline and it helps me so much to keep the kids entertained at home. What a smart investment.
We had such a great time. Noah got some really fun gifts. One of my friends is also a crafty gal and she made Noah a cape and mask! It was ADORABLE and he loves it. Why didn’t I ever think of making a super hero costume for him? Durrr.
Happy Birthday, Sweet Nooskers. We adore you from head to toe, Little Hero!

… Want her babies back? I can’t relate. I mean, I guess I can’t relate to leaving my children in the first place. But if I were in her shoes and God were offering me another chance, I don’t think anything could keep me from them. Apparently Debbie Rowe was interviewed by some British tabloid and she stated that she was not interested in having her children back now that Michael has passed. She apparently did not sign away her parental rights like we once thought and would have had first choice to those kids if she wanted to pursue custody…
I suppose there is a plan for those youngsters that we don’t understand yet. My heart hurts for them, they have no momma or pop. I saw pictures of them recently, without their mask, and they were just beautiful. Prayers to those babies…

We have a bunch of frogs in our yard. When I was little they creeped me out, I don’t think I ever actually held one. But I’ve been working really really hard not to give my children my fears and heebie jeebies. So, when they see a frog, I encourage them to pick up the slimy critters. Noah collects frogs too, so it’s seems fitting that he’d love real frogs!
Were you a frog holder as a youngster or did they make your skin crawl too?
