What?
So American Home Furnishing called to make us an offer (to go away). I reported them to the BBB last week, so I think they are just over it and want us to leave them alone. And I will go away. But not for this:
“We’d like to offer you a brand new mattress, same make, for $450!!!!”
What the hell? The MATTRESS is the problem, why would we want to make the same mistake twice, brand new or not!? And $450!? How about “No”?
How about a $1400 credit for your store and we’ll come back and upgrade. Then you will keep your money, we’ll get rid of this hunk of junk, and you will get that $450 in the form of an upgrade. We all leave happy.

Do you have a local T.V. station that has a consumer hot line? A radio station? Call Clark Howard or e-mail him from his site and he will publicize this nationally. They know they are in the wrong or they would not have made that offer. You are on the right track- don’t give up. Call the BBB back and tell them about the crummy offer. They will notate it in their record. Just keep annoying them until you get what you want. The dollar ampunt is probably too much for small claims court but might be worth checking into. You can represent yourself in small claims. Good luck. Pulling for you!!
